Best Foods to Heal Your Heart Chakra + My Secret Green Drink Recipe

The heart chakra is your middle, balance-point chakra. It’ why we humans put so much value on love (because basically, it’s our essence).

When looking at foods that heal the heart chakra, we are looking for ones that are green. And that great with the food type here which is vegetables, since so many of our most nutrient-packed veggies are green.

Finally, we want to consider the glands for this chakra — the thymus which is all about immunity and the heart, which is both an organ and a gland because it secretes hormones.

Anything that is good for your thymus or your heart’s health is also good for your heart chakra. Makes sense, right?

Here are my Favorite Foods for Healing the Heart Chakra:

  1. Kale/Spinach (or other leafy greens)
  2. Avocados
  3. Broccoli or Brussel Sprouts (tie!)
  4. Spirulina
  5. Green Drink! (see my secret recipe below)

And here are my Honorable Mentions:

  1. Kiwi
  2. Cucumber
  3. Green Tea
  4. Good Oil Fish (Salmon is best)
  5. Olive Oil (don’t cook with cheaper oils)


Vicki’s Super Green Drink Recipe (for 2)

1/2 cup of fresh spinach

1/3 cup non-fat greek yogurt

8 oz of coconut water

4-8 oz of spring or filtered water

1/4 tsp of Himalayan salt

2 TBSP of raw shelled hemp seeds

tsp of Apple Cider Vinegar

small (or half) banana (frozen)

1/3 cup blueberries (frozen)

1/8 cup pineapple (frozen)

a few strawberries or other favorite fruit (frozen)

1 scoop of MRM Rich Vanilla Whey Protein (with probiotics)

1 scoop of Greens Today Original Formula

Blend all the ingredients together on high for a minute until smooth.

It looks like Greens Today may have stopped making their Original Formula. You can substitute another green powder, but make sure it has high daily values of all the essentials (which Greens Today REALLY does).

Alternatively, you can get Greens Today Green Power and have a super high protein smoothie (about 50 grams of protein!), because you still need the whey for the vanilla flavor in your smoothie (at least I do). Check out the amazing nutrients in Green Power here.

This green drink recipe has all the nutrients I could ever need, so I start every day with it. After years of making this drink for myself and my partner, I seem incapable of making a single serving, so I apologize to those of you who are making it just for yourself. At this time, I’m single and I’m still always making too much, so I share it with my beautiful roommates.
