Use the Law of Creation to Feel Your Way Into a Bigger, Brighter Life

Most of us have a lot of desires – and that’s good because they point us to the feelings we want to experience. But often, we think the things and situations of our lives that we want — like a new home or an amazing job or a loving partner – will make us feel the way we want to feel.

We erroneously think we need things and situations to make us feel a certain way, which is actually a big, fat lie.

Why?

Because regardless of circumstances, we can always choose how we want to feel.

You can do it right now.

You can put yourself into a state of happiness, or inspiration or gratitude if you want – and my video above explains how you can use memories and visions to help.

The bottom line is we all have the power to conjure up any feeling we want at any time, but rather than consciously choose how we want to feel, we try with all our might to control the uncontrollable external trappings of our lives so they will make us feel a particular way.

It’s so silly really, like inviting a bunch of dentists to come to your house to brush your teeth when we can do it quite easily yourself. Ironically, Inviting the dentists over takes a lot more time and effort than just doing it yourself, and you can’t even count on the fact that any of them will show up.

When you try to use external things and situations to make you feel a certain way, it’s a crapshoot, at best.

All of us know someone (or might be that someone) who chased a position, project or accolade for an extended period of time just to find out that achieving it resulted in an empty feeling.

Ouch.

So, given all this, would you agree that the simplest and surest way to experience the feelings or state of being you want is to create it yourself from the inside-out?

That’s what this week’s video is all about.

Watch it above and start practicing feeling more – and choosing what you want to feel.

Yes, it may seem unnatural at first, because we typically leave our unlimited emotional access behind when we are very young. But if you practice what you want to feel long enough, you’re going to find that all the things that would normally produce that feeling start showing up in your life!

Some folks call this the ‘Law of Attraction,’ but I it feels more accurate to me call it the ‘Law of Creation,’ since you aren’t doing any of it to attract anything (and when you do it that way, it doesn’t work!). Attracting things to you is simply a by-product of creating the inner world and corresponding emotional vibrations that empower you to both create and attract the things you desire.

Our Universe works in magical ways. We are energetic beings playing in an energetic field and we attract and embrace (allow in) what “fits” with the way we feel.

If you stay in a miserable state long enough, the Universe will happily give you many reasons to feel that way. More accurately, you are choosing those reasons by drawing them out of the field of all possibilities, but the Universe will certainly oblige.

And conversely, if you stay in a joyous and grateful state long enough, the Universe will happily give you tons of reasons to feel that way.

Now, I’m not saying you should ignore the different seasons of your emotional life. We should honor our natural emotions as they come up. Because when you do, they move through your life like clouds through the sky on a windy day.

Young children move from emotion to emotion in a fluid and satisfying way. They aren’t addicted any one emotion, but rather, they simply move through each one until has expressed itself, and then they’re done.

When we allow our emotions to fully flow with no resistance, any given emotion will typically last no longer than two minutes – just as you see with a child who is angry one minute, sad the next and then joyfully playful right after that.

Now, some events like big loses, may require that you honor your body’s grief for a longer period, but even that will tend to come in mini waves of remembrance and longing.

What we often fail to recognize is that grief is really just a form of love that has been lost, so it can actually be exquisitely celebratory and heart-opening when we just allow it to flow. I know I’ve experienced absolute rapture in the midst of deep loss and grief.

So I’m not in any way saying you should ever stuff or cover your true emotions to create more palatable ones. Actually, I’m suggesting the opposite. If you can break the habit of continually dropping into the same emotional state (the one that feels so comfortable to your body even if it may be one you wouldn’t consciously choose state like sadness or anger), you’ll open up a rainbow of emotional possibility in your life.

The emotions I’m asking you to explore in this week’s video are the ones you habitually turn to on a daily basis. We could call them your DEFAULT emotions.

Recently, Ross & I committed to shifting ours. Together, we agreed to make the most out of every situation. Basically, we decided we are going to have more fun all the time! And while we aren’t successful at it 100% of the time (yet), just committing to it has been really life-changing.

What state of being would you like to commit to right now? You CAN commit to what you want, and if you stick by it, things WILL shift. Just be aware that you may be fighting some really old, really entrenched habits (those default emotions) that don’t want to change.

Remember, Spirit loves change, but the body abhors it, since its job is to create homeostasis.

So when your body tries to take control of your life by defaulting back to old familiar emotions that aren’t what you really want to experience (and it will!), just put your Spirit in charge and choose what you want to feel now.

    I couldn’t agree more! I found as I became more aware of my emotions and feelings I was more able to create the desired feeling and emotion I most wanted to feel. So every day along with the help of EFT I am living a more joyous life and releasing those emotions that don’t serve ME! Thank you Vicki
