True to its dualistic Gemini form, tomorrow’s full moon and lunar eclipse carries twin messages.
On one hand, it is the culmination of the last several eclipses that were in Sagittarius/Gemini. Roughly the last 2 years have been accentuated by endings and beginnings appropriate to the teachings of these energies. Tomorrow is the climax for experiencing the effect these signs have had on our lives.
Yet Gemini and Sag, as mutable energies, are ultimately about dissolution. Mutable signs appear at the end of each season to release and prepare us for the new cycle. Gemini is air, mental and Sag is fire, spiritual. So while this full moon brings the lunar month to its highest point and is always a time of abundance, with a lunar eclipse and Gemini ruler, she is also guiding us to a place of dissolving old thoughts, ideas, expressions, mental patterns, communication and how we move in the world. Gemini can seem flaky or shallow, having no earthly substance, but the real power of this sign comes when we get beyond the thoughts and pettiness of everyday concerns.
With the Scorpio new moon/eclipse initiating this cycle, we do have the ability to go beyond the thoughts spinning in our brains. I know my mind has been going a million miles a minute, and so if anything, tomorrow’s full moon is the perfect chance to go beyond thought (Gemini) and even feeling (Scorpio) and get to the place that is both and neither. The place where form dissolves and intuition awakens.
Like the wolves and coyotes that instinctually howl at the full moon, drop deep into the body/mind, the unconscious, the true Gemini/Scorpio work and allow this full moon eclipse to reveal your next step forward and dissolve whatever lies behind you.
