This week I’m sharing the third lesson I learned while hiking up Cathedral Rock, the most breath-taking vortex in Sedona, AZ. If you stumbled upon this one and haven’t yet seen the others, you can read them here:
Are you one of those people who aims for goals, but forgets to celebrate when you reach them? If so, this video is for you (and since I’m that way sometimes, it’s also for me). In it, I tell a short story of a young couple and their dog that reminded me how important it is to celebrate the little victories in our lives. Because if we don’t celebrate our victories, we can start to feel like a hamster in an exercise wheel — always moving toward something but never feeling like we’ve actually arrived. When we live this way, we never enjoy what we’ve achieved.
I challenge you this week to celebrate as many victories as you can. Everything you consciously choose to do can be a little victory. Even the simple things like catching up on all your bills, going to the gym, or baking a beautiful cake can be celebrated. I don’t recommend doing those last two together though, as they tend to cancel each other out.
The point is to celebrate even your tiniest achievements this week so that you train your body and mind to WANT to take on little goals and to ENJOY doing so.
Please watch the video above and share some of your recent victories in the comments section below. Sharing is great way to celebrate.
Love and blessings,
Vicki
