How To (Finally!) Get The “Law Of Attraction” To Work For YOU

The other day, I was doing a Life Coaching Session with a client who had purchased my “Boost Your First Chakra For Grounding & Prosperity” Audio Course, and he told me that what I said about the Law Of Attraction in that course busted his world wide open, and helped him realize why the LOA hadn’t been working for him.  That made me realize I needed to share the idea in my blog.  But it’s a lot to bite off for one post, so I’m going to spread it into two parts.

After the movie “The Secret” came out in 2006, you couldn’t go a day without hearing a dozen references to the “Law Of Attraction.”  It was everywhere.  According to the LOA, all you had to do was focus (that is, think and feel) intently on what you wanted, and it would manifest in your life.  The main “technique” for activating this “law” was simply to visualize.

Some people had great success with it.  But many did not. I was one of those who didn’t.

Because back then, I was “living” almost exclusively in my upper chakras, and people who are imbalanced toward their upper chakras — the overly “spiritual” types — cannot consciously manifest.  Period.

And ironically, these same people are the best visualizers around.  They can visualize ‘til the cows come home (as my dad would say).  That’s not the issue — their inability to turn those visualizations into actual manifestations is.

You see, when it comes to the Law Of Attraction, one size does NOT fit all. A person’s chakra tendencies must be considered.

There are two very distinct chakra groups – Upper Chakra Dominant (UCD) People and Lower Chakra Dominant (LCD) People.  These two types must approach the LOA in completely different (basically opposite) ways.

Upper Chakra Dominant people are unable to take their spiritual inspirations and draw them down into the earth (into manifest form), because there is no “vehicle” in their body to bring those ideas and inspirations down into the physical realm.  They are basically blocked from the waist down, so the manifesting part of their system is literally not functioning.

Lower Chakra Dominant people have the opposite issue.  They’re often blocked at the top, and unable to reach into the spiritual realm to connect with the purpose and inspiration they need for their manifestations to really matter to them, and to make a positive difference in the world.

Let me give you a simple visual for this:

Imagine a long, open shoot from sky to earth (your chakras).  If you’re at the top end of the shoot (UCD people) and you drop gold coins down it, if it’s blocked in the middle, nothing is going to come out the other end, so no gold — or much else for that matter — is “manifested.”

Likewise, if you’re at the bottom end of the shoot (LCD people) and you point it up to the sky for sunlight  (spiritual inspiration), if it’s blocked in the middle, you remain in complete darkness.  You may have a whole lot of gold on your manifest end of the shoot, but it doesn’t mean anything to you, because you’re living in the metaphorical dark with it.

In an ideal world, all of our chakras are open and balanced, and we can manifest and appreciate the material world while bringing inspiration and purpose to everything we do. That’s what everyone wants and deserves.

The process of manifestation is actually quite simple.  It’s the downward energy current that moves through the human chakra system like this:

Get INSPIRATION From Source (or Higher Self) – 7th Chakra

Create a Picture of the Inspiration — VISUALIZE it) — 6th Chakra

BELIEVE IN IT and share it with others — 4th Chakra

ACT ON IT  — take physical steps to create it – 3rd Chakra

CREATIVELY ADJUST & navigate any obstacles – 2nd Chakra

COMMIT & KEEP ON IT until it MANIFESTS – 1st Chakra

As you can see, this process has a minimum of seven steps — one for each chakra.  If you miss any one of these steps, the process is incomplete.

UCD people can visualize all they want, but often cannot turn those visualizations into reality, and LCD people can have all the material things they want, but frequently cannot find the lightness of spirit they need for their life to have purpose and deep meaning.

To experience the full power of both your spiritual and manifest realms, you need to live in both your upper and lower chakras and to have a strong, open heart chakra that bridges these two realms.

I put dotted lines around the heart chakra (above) to emphasize it’s important role as a sort of bridge between these two aspects (note: I talk of “two aspects” or “realms” here for explanatory purposes, but really there is only ONE realm — spirit — in lighter and denser forms).  In other words, everything is energy.

Many people are quite balanced in their chakras and are equally in their upper and lower chakras, but there are also many people who are stuck on one side of the heart bridge and feel trapped, as if they’re in an unmoving traffic jam on one side of an actual bridge.

Let’s look at these two groups and identify them a little better, so you can see if you are predominantly on one side — realizing of course, that you’re always shifting and innately moving toward balance.

Our first group, again, is the Lower Chakra Dominant (LCD) people. These folks  tend to live below the bridge, and they are great manifesters.  Making money and having material things is simple for them.  But connecting to Spirit and being inspired in the way they manifest things is more difficult.  The techniques of “The Secret” and the Law Of Attraction work well for these people, because they both emphasize using visualization, which is something LCD folks really need.

The people of this LCD group tend to be heavier in their body (if you know Ayurveda, they have  a more Kapha body type), and they are more rooted, pro-active and consistent in their lives. If this group suffers from an overall malaise, it is depression rather than anxiety, as they have more downward (heavy) energy than upper (light) energy.

Upper Chakra Dominant (UCD) people tend to live above the heart bridge in the more “spiritual” chakras.  They usually meditate or do other activities like yoga that connect them to lighter frequencies. They typically have a deficiency in (or even an aversion to) one or more of the major qualities of the lower chakras: money (1st chakra), sex (2nd chakra) and power (3rd chakra).

They are normally not very grounded, and can seem scattered.  If they suffer from an overall malaise, it is anxiety rather than depression.

To read more about chakra types and anxiety versus depression, check out my blog post, “Basic Chakra Rule: What Goes Up Must Come Down (And Vice Versa).”

For today, I’d just  like you to think about whether you generally fall into one of these two groups.  And then, in my next blog post, I’ll share more about how you approach the LOA differently depending on which chakra group you fall into.

Feel free to ask any clarifying questions in the area below.

Or you may want to just begin balancing your chakras 24/7 with my beautiful Chakra Boosters Healing Tattoos.

So thats the problem, wow you have put it so neatly. I am an upper chakra person and have a great difficulty getting into my lower chakras, indeed someone who can see auras said that my chakras below my waist seemed “muddy” to him. How do I best sort this out. Will the chakra boosters help with this? Would I have to get just the 3 lower ones or would a heart chakra booster help also?

    Hi Barbara,
Great question. Yes the Chakra Booster Healing Tattoos will absolutely help with this. I’m betting your heart chakra is quite open — but here’s a great written test you can take to see: http://eclecticenergies.com/chakras/chakratest.php
I want to compliment you on your affinity for the number 8 (4 eights in your email address). Eight represents the earth and is very good for Upper Chakra Dominant people. I also highly recommend you get my “Boost Your First Chakra For Grounding & Prosperity” Audio Course. I created it specifically with your energy type in mind (I know it well because that was where I was — and still am by nature — lol). The program will keep you playfully focused on your first chakra and grounding, and it will break through any subconscious blocks to going “down there” into the realm of the lower chakras. It rocks (and is guaranteed — in case you don’t find that it rocks your world like it did mine). Here’s the link: http://www.chakraboosters.com/chakra-courses/
To your grounding and prosperity! Blessings, Vicki

Did the quiz and guess what bottom three chakras -75%, -31%, and -75%. Heart Chakra is neutral at 0%. Will have to get working on it. Need the root one as people owe me money and are reluctant to pay me back even though I have been to a lawyer and issued them with a writ. Suppose this would be something that would go on the back of the body.

Will have to get a root chakra tattoo like you have to get it to open up properly

No too surprising after what you wrote earlier, huh? Time to get to work on embracing those earthier parts of yourself — your money/career, sexuality and power :-). Warm Blessings, Vicki

Good for you, Saurav! The most important (and most challenging thing) for a UCD type person is to stay CONSISTENT and COMMITTED. It’s sort of a Catch 22, because you need these qualities in our to become more first chakra, but these are actually first chakra qualities. Stay on it and things will shift! Any of us can make balanced chakras our natural way of life. Warm Blessings, Vicki

    Hi Vicki

Did you find that your consistency and commitment became stronger after you had your 1st chakra tattoo? I am also doing some tapping and yawning so much!!!! I have committed to doing the tapping sequences until I have one that is clear of yawning but it might stretch into the hundreds.

Yes, Barbara, it was easier to have both of those, but I still had to bring a lot of personal will to it, since I was sooooo “flighty” and upper chakra oriented.

My 6th and 7th chakras still always measure as wildly open with the pendulum — and I have lots of psychic moments — but I am much more grounding.

I’m a HUGE fan of yawning for healing — takes you into trance brain states. When I heal or get healed I yawn and also my eyes water — both good signs that I am in the healing flow of divine energy. Keep up that tapping or whatever physical methods work for you. Warm blessings, Vicki

    Hi Vicki,

I found this article last night while poking around, and am so glad I did! I have been doing spiritual work and studying and applying metaphysics for a decade now. While my life and my response to it is dramatically better than it was, I and others are still baffled at my money issues and family/friendship dramas. I took the test you pointed out for chakras, and am under-active in my root, sacral, and heart chakras, with three open and my throat over-active (I talk a lot – one energy worker said she saw my throat chakra as a ticker-tape). And I used to do the mantras described on how to open them, but have issues with discipline (which you cover in Pt 2 of this post), and they sort of fell away from my practice a year or so ago. Guess it is time to re-introduce them! I also appreciated the tip cautioning the use of the 7th chakra chant when the first chakra is not open; I wonder if that affected my use of the chants years ago and why I stopped doing them.

As far as the Secret, I tell my clients that the Secret is like the tip of the iceberg of the LOA; there is a lot of inner work to be done before one can simply visualize and manifest. We have more layers than that! Thanks for helping remind me what to focus my spiritual practice on right now.

Finally, do you have any tips for those of us who have a hard time with the discipline part? How did you/do you get through your wall?

    Hi Starr,

For discipline, do first chakra work (big surprise, huh?)

Do grounding exercises, stay on a schedule/routine as much as possible, and if you fall off of it, get back on.

I know this is not glamorous advice, but there is nothing glamorous about discipline — it is steady, step-by-step action — brick by brick, you build the house.

Good for you for seeking balance and putting your own growth as a priority!

    Love, Joy, Blessings, Vicki

    Hi Vicki

I sent you an email via the contact page but it doesn’t seem to have reached you as I haven’t had a reply. As it was about the lower chakras I thought I would try to post here and see if you received this one. I have received my packs of Chakra Boosters, thank you but I wanted to ask whether a lower back injury would stop them working?

I have a lumbersacral joint injury which flares up and gives me pain into my hip which caused me to think it was arthritis in my hip. Not so. Will this effect the efficacy of the Chakra Booster tattoos at all?
