Our foundational energies are set down in the first seven years of our life. In each of the first seven years of our lives, we energetically develop our root chakra (foundation) plus one of our other chakras.
And at each age — 1, 2, 3, and so on, we have a basic human need we’re trying to get fulfilled. When these needs get met, the corresponding chakra tends to have an open set point. And if a chakra need doesn’t get met, that particular chakra tends have a more closed set point.
If you want to learn more about your energetic development and the Chakra Life Cycles that affected you, read my book, Your Roadmap to Life Mastery: Discover the 7-Year Cycles That Shape Your Life.
In the video above, we’re healing your three year-old solar plexus inner child. This is the part of you that wants to be seen and feel special. It’s also the aspect of you that loves to take charge, “go for it,” and be empowered and autonomous.
The “Chemistry” of Your Solar Plexus and Sacral Chakras
Your solar plexus chakra is the opposite of your sacral chakra. Where the sacral chakra likes to let go and just flow, the solar plexus likes to take charge and take control. The sacral chakra can get lost in the other (and lose the self), while the solar plexus can lost in the self (and feel disconnected from others).
Basically, the sacral chakra is a master of harmonizing, flowing and keeping relationships strong. And the solar plexus chakra is about NOT losing yourself for any reason or relationship. It’s the part of you that focuses on you and your individuation.
These two chakras create the classic “opposites-attract” chemistry that allows us to experience surrender and control; enmeshment and autonomy.
Basic Need of the Solar Plexus Chakra: And It’s Two Components
The solar plexus chakra (and your inner three year-old) have a basic need for significance.
And this need has two different aspects:
- To be SEEN
- To be CAPABLE and EMPOWERED
Both are important and when both of these needs are fulfilled, you gain a certain amount of personal power and sovereignty. You know you’re the creator of your experience and you’re nobody’s victim.
What was it like when you were three? Can you recall if your toddler self was really seen and appreciated? Or did you feel invisible and/or replaceable? Did your caregivers allow you to take control of basic tasks? Did they let you explore your power and autonomy? Or did they take control and not trust your autonomy?
If your need for significance (to be seen and given at least moderate control) was not met when you were three, the meditation in my video (above) will help you. It’ll connect you with the powerful part of you that wants to really matter.
It’s only human to want to matter, because we all DO matter. We’re all irreplicable. There’s only one you in the whole YOU-niverse — and you can’t be replaced.
Check out the meditation above and let me know how it works for you. I love inner child healing. I think it’s never too late to go within and be a loving caregiver of the child within. It literally changes everything.
May you have an empowered, passionate and satisfying week where you feel connected to your intrinsic worth. I see you. You MATTER!
